November 2013 Received Force10 Switches and Transceiver from Dell; tagged equipment
December 5, 2013 Installed Force10 Z9000 Core Switches with SR Transceivers- 40Gb connection between uptown and Health Sciences campuses

April 15, 2014 Installed Force10 S4810 Edge Switches in remaining academic buildings on uptown and Health Sciences Center campuses; High Speed Science Network Core complete. Passed traffic between computers located at Tidewater building and Poydras building.
April 30 – May 1, 2014 PI Charlie McMahon and co-PI Leo Tran attended the annual CC-NIE PI Workshop- Arlington, VA
May 1, 2014 PI Charlie McMahon sat on a panel discussion regarding Collaborative Research Projects at the annual CC-NIE PI Workshop
December 2014 Extended 146 10Gb endpoints to offices and labs on Tulane’s uptown and Health Science Center
January 2015 Completed final preparations to begin on boarding end users to high speed science network
February 2015 Connected first end user to the high speed science network.
July 2015 Connected twenty end user machines to the high speed science network; these machines were fully vetted by Tulane University’s Information Security Office. Remaining connections will be completed as end users are available for security review and onboarding process.
